I Heart Australia

Sweet, 2nd post and it’s already day #001 of this blog. The Australia Day weekend is only half over and it’s so far has been very very Australian. Thanks to my good friend Storey, who happens to be a member of Aussie Stadium and a die hard Rugby fan, I got free members tickets to see the Waratahs trial game against the Crusaders.

I don’t brand myself as a sports nut, but work has recently forced me to get into it a lot more. It’s surprising how much more you’d enjoy a game if you understand it and know about the players. In short, the Tahs?..Top game, young Curtley Beale is the next big thing and it was unreal seeing this guy in action. Also I believe he’ll be a great role model for Indigenous kids… lets just hope he stays in the game and doesn’t go into boxing and call himself ‘the man’.

Moving on, Sydney FC now have locked themselves into the Final. Once again, thanks to Mr Storey we pretty much sat exactly where we were last time. If you know him, I highly reccommend seeing a sporting event with this man, I don’t have a picture of him but ill put one up soon. You can never truly appreciate a football game unless you see it live…. Next stop, the English Premier League…

First of all, I thought I’d jump on the blog bandwagon. It’s been two years in the making and a very rare free saturday afternoon has come in handy.

Why Live at 5? For those of you who have Foxtel Digital, I reccommend watching Sky News UK.
